Finnish Music Information Centre (Fimic) has started promoting unpublished sheet music in pdf format. The renewed composer contracts allow Fimic to link whole works, instead of short samples, to Fimic Music Library Catalogue at the Fimic web site. With the digital promotion it will be easier for the interested around the world to browse through Finnish music.

The Finnish Music Information Centre (Fimic) has had a new internal organization since the beginning of October 2008. With the new arrangements, Fimic strives to serve its clients even more effectively and up-to-date, as well as invest in active development of new services.

In a new publication by the Finnish Music Information Centre five young Finnish conductors has chosen their own 35 favourites from the Finnish Chamber orchestra repertoire and tell about the pieces they have a special connection as a conductor, and in many cases they have given the premieres of the works.
