The Flanders Music Centre was set up by the Flemish Community and is the official centre for the professional music sector in Flanders.

The Flanders Music Centre promotes Flemish performers, composers and the Flemish professional music scene in general. It does this successfully by dividing its attentions between all musical genres, ranging from pop music to contemporary.

Currently, the Flanders Music Centre is in the process of archiving all sheet music, recordings and other useful information about the Flemish music scene.

The Flanders Music Centre can also provide information and advice about the business aspects of the music industry. The Music Centre functions, above all, as the spokesperson for the music sector to the government and is continuing its efforts in the further development of the music scene in Flanders.
