Gaudeamus promotes contemporary music in the Netherlands and abroad, prioritizing young composers and musicians. Gaudeamus runs an international documentation centre with a large collection of scores LPs, CDs, DVDs, music periodicals, books, newspaper clippings and photos. Gaudeamus has numerous activities and co produtions with partners all over the world:

The International Gaudeamus Music Week 2006 in Amsterdam from 3-10 September is the outcome of the young composers’ competition for the Gaudeamus Prize. The deadline for submitting scores for next year's competition is the 31st January 2007.
The International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition in Amsterdam from 15 to 22 April 2007 is open to musicians up to 35 years of age. Deadline is the 1st November 2006.
Live Electronics Festival, in Amsterdam from 20 to 25 November 2006, features mainly recent and new works and also includes a retrospective of works from the Sixties with guest Gordon Mumma.
13th International Young Composers Meeting March 4-9 2007 in Apeldoorn, Netherlands
Dutch-French Composition Competition, in cooperation with Institute Néerlandais in Paris is open to French and Dutch composers. Deadline 1st of March 2007.
The ECPNM - European Conference of Promoters of New Music hosts a European competition for the composition and interpretation of live-electronic music projects which demonstrate innovation in connecting instruments and live-electronics. Deadline: 30 June, 2006.
