IAMIC hosted a reception lunch on the 25th of November 2007 in Royal Pacific Hotel- Hong Kong. It was during the ISCM-ACL World Music Days 2007 festival where ISCM- ACL delegates were invited for a presentation and lunch.

The 2007 ISCM-ACL World Music Days Festival from 22 November to 1 December 2007 have put together the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) and the Asian Composers League (ACL) in Hong Kong for a 10-day mega event.
The world’s first ABBA museum to open in Stockholm
The legendary pop group ABBA will now have its very own museum in Stockholm.
“It’s great that someone feels like taking on our musical history and making it accessible,” commented recently Agnetha Fältskog, Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Anni-Frid Reuss in a joint statement.
Focus on Sweden at Noorderslag weekend 2008
Europe's most prestigious showcase event brings Swedish music to the forefront
The 2008 edition of the Noorderslag Weekend, taking place 10, 11 and 12 January in the Dutch city of Groningen, will focus on Swedish music talent and on the Swedish music industry. Comprising of the EuroSonic and Noorderslag festivals and of Noorderslag Seminar business conference, the weekend has over 250 international bands and acts performing and expects to bring 2500 music business professionals together.

Jonas Valfridsson wins prize in Japan
Swedish composer Jonas Valfridsson has been awarded third prize in the Toru Takemitsu composition competition for his orchestral work In Killing Fields Sweet Butterfly Ascend.
The piece was performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Chikara Iwamura at the Tokyo Opera City Hall on May 27. First prize went to the Japanese composer Sho Ueda.

New Zealand Music Month
Celebrating New Zealand Music in May will have its seventh ‘birthday’ this year.
Annually since 2001, May has been declared New Zealand Music Month in these southern isles. Originally it was a means to encourage radio stations here to broadcast a greater proportion of ‘indigenous’ music.

IAMIC announces its membership to EFAH, an organisation which monitors European Union legislation and policy in cultural affairs, advocates for the cultural sector in Europe and is a representative voice for over 5,000 cultural organisations in the formulation of cultural policy in Europe.
IAMIC to participate in EFA Assembly in Brussels

Nordic Wind Music Catalogue
NordMic Association, a project based network comprised of IAMIC member organisations the Danish Arts Agency Music Centre, the Finnish Music Information Centre, the Iceland Music Information, the Music Information Centre Norway and the Swedish Music Information Centre are currently developing a new edition of the Nordic Wind Music Catalogue, first published 15 years ago.
