The Iceland Music Information Centre holds an extensive manuscript collection of works by Icelandic composers.

Under the logo of ITM the Iceland Music Information Centre publishes sheet music and CDs. The Iceland Music Information Centre also co-produces Icelandic contemporary music on CD in partnership with Smekkleysa.

The annual New Music Festival Dark Music Days is becoming an increasingly popular music event. The festival is hosted by the Iceland Composer Society in collaboration with most of the best performers in the country. Its’ timing, in early February every year, explains the name of the festival since the daylight time is still very short in Iceland at that time of year.
