III International Opera Singers Competition of Galina Vishnevskaya

The International Opera Singers Competition of Galina Vishnevskaya is established 2006 on the initiative and in the honor of the jubilee of the world-known singer - People’s Artiste of the USSR, the owner of numerous international awards and premiums, world opera Diva.

The goal of this contest is to discover and support young aspiring singers all over the world. The contest is organized every two years at Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre in Moscow, Russia.
The constitutors of the Competition are the Ministry of Culture of Russian federation, Culture department of Moscow and Galina Vishnevskaya Opera centre.

The Competition is held in three rounds. The international contest jury is represented by the world opera stars, directors of the world opera stages and artistic agencies.
In the last competitions participated about 500 young singers from Russia, Ukraine, USA, Italy, France, Japan, Estonia, Poland, Macedonia, Romania, China, Armenia, Azerbajdzhan etc. Now the laureates of the Competition are the soloists of the greatest opera theaters all over the world.

We are pleased to announce that the III INTERNATIONAL OPERA SINGERS CONTEST OF GALINA VISHNEVSKAYA will be held from 1 – 7th of June 2010 (II and III rounds). We are glad to invite all singers to participate in this international musical event.

 This year the contest’s jury will be announced later.
