Denmark at MIDEM in Cannes

On 24-27 January, Denmark will be represented for the 24th time at the world's biggest fair of recorded music.

Denmark will once again be providing combined representation at MIDEM, the biggest international music fair, when the music industry meets up in Cannes to trade in music and develop their international networks. Fifty companies and a total of eighty persons will be present at the Danish stand, where visitors will be able to meet Danish recording companies, music publishers and music organisations.

This year, the Danish music industry will once again be collaborating to present a showcase of Danish dance and electronica to an invited audience of international music industry representatives. The showcase will feature Aura, Joey, Julie Ann and Sarah Burgess, together with the four DJs Morten Breum, Kenneth Bager, LP Støvring and DJ Zoo, and will take place on 25 January at the 'Da Da Da Da Club' in Cannes. The showcase will be organised by Danish Dance Music Export.

Danish participation at MIDEM is taking place with the aid of a grant from the Danish Arts Council's Committee for Music. The Danish Arts Agency will be responsible for the practical organisation of the stand.
