Awarded Slovak soprano Adriana Kucerová

 

Twelve years ago was in Slovakia founded tradition of the special prize, named „Crystal Wing“, granted annually to the Slovak personalities from various branches: music, theatre and film, sport, medicine and science, publicism and literature, economy, fine arts, architecture and life-long work.

In the category of music was awarded talented soprano Adriana Kucerová, for her interpretation of the role Anne Trulove in the opera of Igor Stravinskij The Rake´s Progress with worldwide known conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt in the Theater an der Wien.

Adriana Kucerová studied singing at the Conservatory in Bratislava, Academy of Music and Drama in Bratislava and Conservatoire national supérieur musique et danse de Lyon. She took part in many competitions, but the most important was her 1st prize  (and also La Scala Prize, Gulbenkian Foundation Prize, Audience Prize) on the prestigeous Internationaler Hans Gabor Belvedere Gesangwettbewerb in Vienna (2005). She took her debut in Opera of the Slovak National Theatre as Morgana in Händel´s Alcina with very good references. Adriana Kucerová performed within outstanding platforms as Salzburg Mozart Wochen, Salzburger Festspiele and also La Scala in Milano. To recent successes rank her Adina in L´elisir d´amore from G. Donizetti in Glyndebourne Touring Opera, cooperation with Teater an der Wien, where she took debut an Ninetta in Mozart´s La finta semplice with Fabio Luisi. Foreign critic considers her whole interpretation of Anne Trulove in The Rake´s Progress as one of the higlights of the Stravinskij´s opera.
