The Cory Band, more than half of whose players are former members of the National Youth Brass Band of Wales, has won the British Open championship under their Music Director, Dr Robert Childs.  The Band, a member of Ty Cerdd – Music Centre Wales, currently holds the Brass in Concert, Welsh, European and World championships.

The Welsh Music Information Centre at Ty Cerdd is soon to have a new neighbour as the BBC National Orchestra of Wales moves into its exciting new home, BBC Hoddinott Hall at Cardiff’s Wales Millennium Centre.

The National Youth Wind Orchestra of Wales will be holding its annual residential course in Luxembourg during the Easter vacation.
