New arrangements in Fimic

The Finnish Music Information Centre (Fimic) has had a new internal organization since the beginning of October 2008. With the new arrangements, Fimic strives to serve its clients even more effectively and up-to-date, as well as invest in active development of new services.

Fimic currently has two teams subordinate to the Executive Director, Ms. Jutta Jaakkola. The team for services and development is lead by Ms. Ranja Purma, and the team focuses on customer services, including music library services, general inquiries and callers. In addition, the team will be developing Fimic's customer service processes and new technical applications for Fimic's services. The team for promotion and projects will account for the promotion projects and communications, including showcase weekends, export projects, and the Fimic web site, as well as publications. Fimic is currently recruiting a new leader for the team.

Fimic will continue to administer the Foundation for the Promotion of Finnish Music, LUSES.  Jutta Jaakkola acts as the authorized representative for the foundation, as well as the secretary for the popular music committee. Ranja Purma serves as the secretary for the concert music committee.
