Fimic starts promoting sheet music in pdf format

Finnish Music Information Centre (Fimic) has started promoting unpublished sheet music in pdf format. The renewed composer contracts allow Fimic to link whole works, instead of short samples, to Fimic Music Library Catalogue at the Fimic web site. With the digital promotion it will be easier for the interested around the world to browse through Finnish music. The performance materials will be distributed in paper format from Fimic just as before.

The first composers to sign the new contract were Jan Mikael Vainio and Seppo Pohjola. Fifty more contracts will be renewed until the end of November, and the rest of the Fimic composers will join the digital promotion gradually.
