The Cory Band from the Rhondda Valley has won the European Championship again this year, completing a hat trick of consecutive wins.  The Band, a member of Ty Cerdd – Music Centre Wales,  has an excellent tradition of commissioning new music, and a policy of supporting a composer in residence.

The Cory Band, more than half of whose players are former members of the National Youth Brass Band of Wales, has won the British Open championship under their Music Director, Dr Robert Childs.  The Band, a member of Ty Cerdd – Music Centre Wales, currently holds the Brass in Concert, Welsh, European and World championships.
